Energy Boost Recipes

Looking for some creative ideas to use your Ester-C® Energy Boost?  Well look no further! These are some yummy and healthy recipes to get the most out of your packets of Energy Boost!

Breakfast “Energy Boost” Parfait (yields 2)

1 cup vanilla yogurt
1 stick packet of Ester-C® Energy Boost (orange or berry)
1 cup granola
1 cup fresh fruit (berries, banana, peach slices)
1 tbsp shredded unsweetened coconut (optional)

In a small bowl, add Ester-C® Energy Boost to yogurt and mix well. Line up two tall, wide-mouth glasses. Spoon 2 tablespoons of yogurt mixture into each glass and smooth layer. Evenly spoon 2 tablespoons of granola into each glass on top of yogurt layer. Add 2 tablespoons of fresh fruit to each glass on top of granola layer. Repeat the layers and sprinkle shredded coconut on top before serving.

Energy Salsa (yields 2 cups)

2 medium tomatoes, chopped
½ red onion, chopped
½ cup fresh cilantro, chopped
2 garlic cloves, crushed
2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1 stick packet of Ester-C® Energy Boost orange
2 tbsp orange juice
½ tsp red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
Sea salt (to taste)
Black pepper (to taste)

Add Ester-C® Energy Boost to orange juice and mix well. Place tomatoes, onion, cilantro, garlic and red pepper flakes in a bowl. Pour olive oil and Energy Boost mixture over top. Mix all ingredients together. Season with salt and pepper, to taste. Serve with tortilla chips

Orange Energy Butter (yields ½ cup)

½ cup butter, softened
1 tbsp orange juice
1 stick packet of Ester-C® Energy Boost
1 tsp grated orange peel

Add Ester-C® Energy Boost to orange juice and mix well. Combine with butter and orange peel and blend well. Serve on pancakes, muffins, toast or even melt onto steamed vegetables such as carrots or beets.

Berry Mint Energy Tea

6 cups water
4 packets of Ester-C® Energy Boost (berry)
2 tea bags (green or black tea)
3 tbsp fresh mint leaves
2 tbsp raw cane sugar
2 tbsp lemon juice

In a large saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil; remove from heat. Add tea bags, mint leaves, and sugar; let stand 10 minutes. Remove tea bags. In a large pitcher, mix Ester-C® Energy Boost with 4 cups of water.  Stir in tea mixture and lemon juice.  Chill thoroughly before serving.  Makes 4-6 servings.
